General terms and conditions Welcome to UJS. The following are the rules or "Terms" that govern use of the UJS website. By using or visiting this website, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and to follow these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations governing this site. UJS reserves the right to change these Terms at any time, effective immediately upon posting on this site. Please check this page of this site periodically. Terms and Conditions

1. UJS sells tickets on behalf UJS and University JSocs (Jewish Societies) around the UK and Ireland, that produces the event for which you buy a ticket. This ticket remains the property of the UJS and/or the University JSoc and is a personal revocable license which may be withdrawn and admission refused at any time upon refunding the printed purchase price. This agreement does not create any right enforceable by any person who is not a party to it under the Act, but does not affect any right or remedy that a third party has which exists or is available apart from that Act.

2. It is your responsibility to check your tickets; mistakes cannot always be rectified.

3. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of the cancellation once we have received the relevant authorisation. We do not guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event.

4. Unless indicated otherwise in relation to a particular event, if an event is cancelled refunds will be given in full. For accounting purposes your unused tickets must be received within 28 days from the date of the cancelled performance. This does not affect your statutory rights. We regret that unless this (paragraph 4) applies, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.

5. This ticket is issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of the venue, UJS and JSoc. Full details are available at the UJS Head Office. Breach of any of these Rules and Regulations or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall entitle the venue, UJS or JSoc to eject you from the venue.

6. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission should patrons breach any Rules and Regulations of the venue, UJS or JSoc. The venue may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.

7. We will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen.

8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue, UJS' and JSocs right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

UJS Supplied Kosher for Passover meals

General:
All our goods and services comply with all the standards required by relevant legislation and are supervised under the Beth Din. When ordering special meals with us online, a Contract of Sale is made at the time we accept your order, and the contract shall be under English law, irrespective of where you are. By confirming your order on the website you accept these terms and conditions.

Delivery:
We are unable to offer delivery to all addresses in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We will ask customers to select from a list of possible cities for delivery when ordering Kosher Meals. UJS will contact all customers to arrange delivery dates and times once the final "cut-off" date has passed. We make a charge to cover the cost of packing and delivery; this cost is calculated for you automatically, and you will see the full price before placing your order. UJS reserves the right to pick the delivery location, date and time. The delivery shall be deemed to have been made either when the consignee accepts delivery in person, or when the driver leaves a parcel at the unattended premises. Receipt of purchase must be shown to receive delivery of ordered meals.

Authenticity of Kashrut Certification:
All UJS supplied Kosher Meals are doubled wrapped. This ensures that when a kosher meal is heated in an ordinary (non-Kosher) oven, the vapours and the odours do not penetrate into Kosher meals during the heating process.
UJS kosher meals are arranged in conjunction with Hermolis Kosher Meals, which is under the "Kedassia" licensing authority.

Non-Delivery Claims
In the event of your order failing to arrive when expected, please contact us by email or by telephone within 12 hours of the expected delivery quoting your order number. We will immediately investigate and let you know the situation. Should your order not be delivered within 1 working day of the date given in the website acknowledgement, you will be entitled to a full and immediate refund.

Cancellation
We regret that due to the very short timescale involved in processing fresh meat orders, you cannot cancel or amend your order once it has been placed.

Data Protection
All personal data we collect from you will be used exclusively for the purposes of our relationship, to help us offer improved or new services to you, and may be stored on computer. Your details will be held securely, in confidence, and never disclosed to any third party without your express permission.

Availability
All items are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if what you have ordered is not available.
Ordering errors
You are able to correct errors on your order up to the point on which you click on "submit" during the ordering process.

Payment Terms
We will charge your credit account for payment upon receipt of your order unless your purchase of tickets are unavailable due to cancellation of the event or tickets are sold out. We accept no liability if a delivery is delayed because you did not give us the correct payment details. If it is not possible to obtain full payment for the goods from your account then we can cancel the contract and or suspend any further deliveries to you. This does not affect any other rights we may have.

Delivery
We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods or services once they have been delivered. We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period and we will contact you to arrange an alternative time.

Risk & Ownership
Risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to you at the time of delivery to you, or if you fail to take delivery at the agreed time, the time when we tried to deliver. You will only own the goods once they have been successfully delivered and when we have received cleared payment in full. Goods supplied are not for resale.

Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order
You will need to provide us with your e-mail address and we will notify you by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order and e-mail you again to confirm details. An acceptance of your order will take place on despatch of the good(s) ordered.

Exclusion of liability
Any disclaimers and exclusions of liability in these terms and conditions shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by our negligence. These disclaimers and exclusions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. If any provisions of these disclaimers and exclusions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
