It's not goodbye, it's see you soon

I am not quite sure if words can sum up my year. UJS has helped to shape and inspire the past 4 years of my life and that is all down to the previous and dedicated leaders that helped to inspire me.

From being on J-Soc committee for three years to landing my first job at UJS, it has been more than I could have ever imagined. UJS has provided me with countless opportunities to challenge myself, build connections with incredible organisations, provided me with more responsibility than any other graduate role and most importantly work with some of my closest friends.

The range of events from Friday night dinners, to social action projects to interfaith events has inspired me and made me so proud to work for an organisation where peer leadership and cross-communalism is at the forefront of its values. Every one of you has played a part in shaping my year, inspiring me and making me feel so welcome in your communities. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the J-Soc committees who have tirelessly dedicated endless hours to Jewish life on campus, helping to ensure that each student has a place that they can call home.

The friendships that I have formed travelling up and down the country this year have been unbelievable. I am proud to leave this organisation, knowing that I managed to engage and empower hundreds of Jewish students and am looking forward to seeing what you all achieve.

But most importantly I want to thank my incredible, dedicated and passionate team who have been my family this year. This year would not have been the same without each and every one of you making me laugh until my stomach hurts to endless sushi lunches and banter, all whilst fulfilling a job that I have loved.

I want you all to know that if you need anything this year I am always here and I hope that many of you will stay in contact.

Wishing you all the success in the world.

Best wishes,

Leanne
