In 2010 Liverpool JSoc saw the return of Booze 4 Jews. It was a great success with over a 100 students attending from all campus. We even had our very own in house band.
Campus Notes; nightlife, places to eat and drink etc.
For those looking for a quiet night out or a footy match to watch, the Brookhouse pub provides the perfect atmosphere, it is also a scream pub, so those with yellow cards get extra discount off the already cheap prices! For a more bohemian feel, a little bit of open mic, or a quiet but classy drink, Lark Lane is the place to go. And for an 'in town' experience with every kind of party available, from foam parties to fancy dress, trance to hard rock, tequila to cocktail bars, concert square is where you want to be!!
Kosher Food & Accommodation
An 8 bedroom Hillel House provides luxurious accommodation for a first year student. Each room is ensuite complete with toilet and shower...so waiting your turn to use the loo! The rooms are complete with a fridge and the regular bedroom accessories. There are two kitchens, one for meat and one for milk so kashrut is not a problem! The Lubavitch Rabbi Kievman has the Chabad house, and Liverpool's community are renown for their wonderful hospitality. You will never be without a meal or clean clothes. In the new university term, a Lubavitch shaliach will be moving in on campus to provide education, fun activities and hospitality. Rosemans is the single kosher deli in Liverpool and is easily accessible by bus or foot. A kosher restaurant in the Harold House community centre will provide a wonderful meal, complete with student discount!
