Birmingham holds many different bars and clubs that are cheap and fun! We have an amazing shopping centre but unfortunately no kosher restaurants as yet!
The Hillel House has over 40 single rooms and there are a few student flats at Birmingham Central Synagogue.
Kosher butcher/deli five minutes drive from Hillel House. There are weekly Friday night onegs with Kosher food.
There are four Shuls - three Orthodox and one Liberal. Two of the Orthodox Shuls are run by the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation. Services are held both at the main historic Shul in the centre of Birmingham, and also on the site of the Jewish school in Moseley. Students are most welcome at all services and events.
The local community is warm, friendly and loves to host students for Shabbat meals.
Birmingham J-Soc is a well established J-Soc and has a very successful reputation. We always welcome new members and we do everything we can to please the existing ones we have!
