Glasgow JSOC:
An active J-Soc with many Jewish students from Glasgow, around the UK and around the world. From Shabbat dinners, social events and speakers, there is something for everyone. Whether you're Orthodox, Masorti, Reform or just looking to explore some lost heritage, this is a society for every type of young Jew in the Glasgow Student Scene.
We have a chaplain, Rabbi Garry Wayland in the area who often works with the JSOC, running lunch and learns, religious services, and is around to support all jewish students needs in Scotland. Events are held fortnightly and promise fun times. Events have included pizza and film nights, bagel lunch and learns, festival experiences, Friday night dinners amongst many more!
Glasgow JSOC is also affiliated with the Northern Region for Jewish students, which co-ordinates events for students within the North East and Scotland. The region hold two annual weekends that provide Jewish students in the North East and Scotland a chance to bond, pray, learn, socialise and have fun!

The city of Glasgow traditionallly has a strong Jewish community, with various congregations across the denominations.
