2010, what a year it’s been so far... Josh

Tottenham ended the year on a high with a two nil win against West Ham and started the year on a positive note with a four nil win over Peterborough earning a home draw against Leeds in the fourth round of the FA cup. This has made me feeling quite optimistic for the coming year and remainder of the season.  I just hope we don't under achieve like we have done in previous years...

Our year for UJS also ended on a high with the UJS Tzevet all attending Limmud Conference in Warwick University.  It was my first Limmud and certainly not my last. I was overwhelmed with the diverse range of speakers and topics that were discussed throughout the week and tried to make the most of the sessions that were provided.  One of the sessions that I attended and thoroughly enjoyed showed how the Simpsons can be used to explain Jewish texts such as the book of Job.

Whilst at Limmud we all volunteered every day helping run the conference. The UJS Tzevet was responsible for working the bar and tuck shop. For those of you that were there it was great to see you and serve you and for those that weren't I would encourage you to look into going next year, not just so we can serve you at the bar, but so you can experience the diverse range of topics of interest.

The term ahead will be an exciting term with many new J Soc committees entering their first term with new ideas and enthusiasm.  Try to make an effort to meet your new committee's and come to events to see what they have to offer.

Looking forward to seeing many of you this term back on campus. For those with exams, best of luck and hope to see you soon.
