Hyde Park Rovers FC are a Jewish student team in Leeds. They compete in the Manchester Jewish Soccer League and are sponsored by UJS. Manager Phil Braham gives readers an update of their progress.

Hyde Park Rovers battling it out for the MJSL title

Hyde Park rovers who currently lie 2nd in the table, four points off the top are adamant that they can secure the MJSL title this year. Still having to play the leaders at the end of the season and playing the team that are third on Sunday, manager Philip Braham knows that Sundays game is nothing but a six pointer.

The team will have to show their desire and hunger in order to over come quite a strong Rep of Mancunia team, who have surprised everyone with their performances this season. Hyde Parks season so far has been that similar to Chelsea's. They won their first five games comfortably only to start seeing a dip in form end with some poor results.

With the snow and winter break concluding the first half of the season, Hyde Park knew that in order to be real title challengers they needed to start the second half of the season off with a strong performance. They did that with an excellent 4-1 win against Sporting, then drawing two weeks ago to Mancunia and gaining three points this weekend because Crumspall forfeited. So with six league games remaining and still in two cup competitions, Hyde Park can look forward to, fingers crossed, an excellent league run and travelling to Boundary Park, home of Oldham.
