This is a dual role, the objective is to support the day to day IT and AV operational needs of LJCC.

Please be fully aware that you will be expected to handle multi-tasking and move frequently back and forth between roles.

IT
- Be immediately responsive to routine staff and visitor IT requirements
- Routine trouble shooting with hardware, software. computers, printers, servers
- Support standard Microsoft packages
- Updates and routine problem solving to equipment and software on and off site
- Support telecoms
- Help develop in general terms LJCCs IT structure

Audio Visual
- Be immediately responsive to routine staff, visitor and Event AV requirements including set-ups (including plasma or projector screenings, PowerPoint presentations, slide-projections, lighting, microphones etc)
- Be responsible for the professional storage of AV equipment and its maintenance
- Help develop teacher training programmes in the use of AV
- Occasional work as a sound engineer at Cultural Events (training will be provided)

Requirements
- The post is for 4 days a week Monday - Thursday, 08.30-5.00/5.30. There is an LJCC rota for occasional evening and Sunday working and the Technician will be required to be available
- Candidates will have 2-3 years IT experience in a routine Office or Educational Centre environment and be thoroughly familiar with the Microsoft suite.
- Candidates should also have experience operating standard AV equipment, from projectors to players of all sorts.
- Some familiarity with microphones and lighting would be preferable. Developing your skills in this arena quickly, through some brief training, will be very important.
- On a day to day basis, you will be working autonomously so you must have initiative, self-discipline, and be well-organised
- The job holder is working with a wide range of people, often under pressure, they must be good team players
- The job reports to the LJCC IT Manager
