This is a unique opportunity to join Tower Hamlets PCT's (THPCT) Executive Office in a new and innovative post within the Delivery Improvement Unit:
• Delivery Improvement Unit Manager -- Band 8b
THPCT aims to improve health and wellbeing by commissioning world class healthcare for local people. By working in partnership with organisations and listening to the communities we serve, we aim to provide the best possible healthcare and advice for those living and working in Tower Hamlets.
The Delivery Improvement Unit (DIU) is a new function, which aims to provide the THPCT's Executive Team and Board members with information and recommendations about commissioning programmes, their impact and rate of achievement. It will have the task of establishing itself within the PCT to be able to coordinate, track and encourage long term improvements.
The DIU's work will be focussed on helping to achieve change and speed up our overall rate of improvement with the delivery of the Trust's top priority strategic goals. The DIU reports directly to the Deputy CEO and is central to the PCT's ability to deliver its ambitious agenda to modernise and improve the health of the Tower Hamlets population.
The Successful post holder will have a highly developed analytical background, with experience of coaching for improvement, problem solving and the ability to facilitate transferable learning between programmes. Preferably the post holder will have experience working in the consultancy sector or hold a previously internal consultancy role with in the NHS or elsewhere. Well educated to a Masters Degree level or equivalent experience, you will ideally have up-to-date knowledge of NHS system reform policy and experience of successful implementation of improvement methodologies. It is essential to have significant Programme and Change Management experience working at a Senior Level.
Experience of gathering and analysing data, as well as developing and implementing creative solutions to facilitate quality outcomes and long-term change will be essential. There will be a need to work across organisational boundaries, develop alliances, project an ambitious vision and obtain ownership and commitment from stakeholders.
