Approx Jewish Students on campus - 20+

St George has a small J-Soc but provides a warm and inviting community to both Jews and non-Jews who are interested in joining a Jewish Society! Most of our events are centered around our lovely and intimate Friday Night Dinners, however we also celebrate holidays at St Georges like our Purim House Party last year which was a great success. We are looking to get involved with more Interfaith Events this year, and through this are hoping to expand our J-Soc! Anybody can join; It doesn’t matter if you are Jewish, half Jewish, quarter Jewish……. or even if you are simply interested in learning about a different culture!

President: Ethan Wong

Whats the best thing about St George's J-Soc?

"Being part of a small JSoc just makes the group extremely tight-knit and more personal. Coming to a university where I knew nobody at first, it's really comforting to have just a few people who already can relate to you from the get go. The events are more enjoyable as you never find yourself in a sea of unfamiliar faces, you always have a refreshing balance between friends and new acquaintances!"

About UJS

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
