Widening the Debate

UJS hopes to achieve this with a series of projects throughout the year, building on pre-existing programmes of Israel and Jewish education weeks.

We hope to reclaim Zionism, reminding our students to be proud to defend their right to self determination, whilst challenging the narrative on Israel, working with academics, to allow ourselves to be comfortable to criticize Israel and our community if we feel it necessary.

UJS understands the importance of representing all our students, and we hope to foster an environment within UJS that is comfortable for all Jewish students.

UJS also wishes to work alongside other groups, working towards their own self-determination, including Palestinians.
