ISRAEL HOUR- SHABBAT OBSERVANCE

ISRAEL HOUR- SHABBAT OBSERVANCE
Unconventional discussions about today's Israel.
A chance for you or your J-Soc to engage with contemporary issues about Israel

Israel's policy with regard to Shabbat public bus services is that no buses can run within a city, except for Haifa (due to historical reasons).

Some think that it is unfair that people who own cars or can afford taxis can travel on Shabbat whereas those who can only afford public transport are discriminated against.

Other believe that there should be respect for Orthodox Jews and traditional halacha and thus there should be no buses at all on Shabbat, anywhere.

And what do you think?
