Training: Safety

Training: Safety
The unknown on campus can sometimes be a bit scary. But with support from your local chaplain or the CST, a friendly ear and good advice is never far away.

Together with the CST, UJS have produced 'A Student's Guide to Antisemitism on Campus'. You can download this from the CST website.

The 'Streetwise Guide to Personal Safety' is a booklet designed to encourage students to think responsibly about their personal safety. It is packed with common sense guidance on issues such as chatting on mobile phones, using the internet, going out with friends and what do in threatening situations and is based on the popular guide produced by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust

It was produced as part of a Streetwise - CST/Maccabi initiative. Amanda Rodgers, Project Manager for Streetwise said "Streetwise is committed to providing support services for our young people and has developed a highly regarded Streetwise Course to teach them how to handle their growing independence. Together with the new booklet, we hope to encourage them to think responsibly, and to provide them with the skills and confidence they need to become aware of personal safety issues."
