J-Soc Size: 80-100

The Cass-City Jewish Society is the main representative body for Jewish students on campus. Our activities are focused on education, providing weekly kosher lunches on campus for our traditional "Lunch and Learn" sessions as well as inviting key members of the community to speak at our sessions. We plan to have events centered on the Jewish festivals and anticipate certain educational events for Holocaust Memorial Day. Essentially we provide a foundation for Jews on campus to meet and discuss certain ideas and issues.

The nearest kosher accommodation is the residential Hillel House in Golders Green, which is open to all students in London and there are many kosher restaurants and shops all over London, with suppliers of kosher sandwiches located a short  walk away from campus.

About UJS

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
