Anat Kraskin

Hi, I’m Anat, two-time Glasgow JSoc President, former UJS National Council representative, and now running to be your next UJS President! At Glasgow, I helped grow our JSoc to three times its size, building one of the most active and vibrant Jewish student communities in the country. I’ve represented students nationally through UJS and internationally as a UK Lauder Fellow with the World Jewish Congress - experiences that have shaped my leadership and deepened my passion for Jewish student life. I’ve built significant practical experience at both local and national levels, experience I’ll bring to the role of UJS President.

UJS gave me a platform, a voice, and a community. Now I’m ready to give back- to lead a Union that empowers every JSoc to thrive, amplifies Jewish pride on campus, and delivers real results for Jewish students across the UK and Ireland.

I’ve spoken with Jewish students from campuses across the country, and those conversations have shaped my vision for UJS — one built on three key commitments: Empowering JSocs, proactive advocacy, and strengthening the core values that unite us.

Raphi Leon

Hi! I'm Raphi Leon – President of Warwick JSoc, UJS National Council and an International UJS Delegate. My time at university has been defined by one goal – to build thriving Jewish student communities. Passionate, committed and open-minded, I’m ready to continue this vital work as your next
UJS President.

I transformed Warwick JSoc from unknown to JSoc of the Year, channelling the pride I find in my Jewish identity into building a welcoming, homely community for members of all backgrounds. I advised UJS Trustees on organisational strategy, represented UK and Irish students to the European Union of Jewish Students, and stood up for you on national TV.

A proven, dedicated and forward-thinking leader, I’m ready to ensure UJS, JSocs of all sizes, and Jewish student life across the country continues to flourish.

Jonah Levy

Hi, I'm Jonah, President of Bristol JSoc, former Head of Campaigns, and now I'm running to be your next UJS President.

Leading one of the UK's largest and most active JSocs, I've dedicated myself to building a community where Jewish students from all backgrounds can come together, celebrate, and belong. I've worked to strengthen Jewish student life across the country, tackling antisemitism, winning 2024/25 UJS Campaigner of the Year, and creating new opportunities for students to achieve their ambitions.

UJS has done a remarkable job protecting us, representing us, and standing up in the face of antisemitism. That mission must always continue. But it's time to place just as much energy into Helping Jewish Students Thrive, every Jewish student, in every aspect of their lives.

SO #JOINJONAH AND HELP JEWISH STUDENTS THRIVE

Re-Open Nominations (R.O.N.)

There’s a candidate called R.O.N. for every single election within UJS. Are you wondering who RON is?

RON isn’t a person, it’s an acronym, and it stands for Re-Open Nominations. If you submit a vote for R.O.N, you’re telling us that you don’t think that any of the candidates is right for the role, and that we should restart the process to find better candidates. If RON gets the most votes, then no candidates win, and we will start the nominations process again.

We think it’s important that voters always have the option to vote for RON – your leadership should represent you, and if you don’t think any candidate represents you, then you should tell us.
