Social Action

Social action is a way in which to change what we feel in wrong in our society by introducing new ideas and processes for doing better in the future. This year in UJS we aim to do just that through positive social change that then will influence the greater society. We work with Mitzvah Day to encourage the donation of time not money, and we also have a lot of great projects coming up this year surrounding Chagim (festivals) and other general charitable campaigns! We also encourage you running your own projects on campus and are more than happy to support you however we can.

The great thing about social action is that it can be incorporated into all events. To discuss a social action idea, please be in touch!

About UJS

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
