We are a small but vibrant JSoc! Our society are very active with tons of fun and educational events. We celebrate major and minor festivals, have Friday night dinners, and host other social events.

It’s important to us that everyone is welcome in our JSoc, from all walks of life. We are open to everyone, regardless of whether they are Reform, Orthodox, Liberal, etc. Due to Huddersfield not having a Jewish population outside of the university, many of our members aren’t Jewish - but everyone is respectful of and interested in Jewish culture and traditions. We’d love to have more Jewish students join us on our campus!

Our society works closely with Holocaust Centre North (located on campus), a fantastic resource for Holocaust education.

The campus is a welcoming environment for Jewish students, and we have good relationships with the Islamic Society, Palestine Society, etc.
