Approx Jewish Students on campus - 40+

We are a friendly, warm, and hospitable society, focusing on 'One Love' between all people and put a strong emphasis on kindness! We are a diverse Jsoc with many different voices to be heard. We run a range of Chagim, ranging from Jewish holidays such as Purim, to awesome Friday night dinners, and parties/pre-drinks! We also have events to share our interest in learning about our heritage while also knowing how to have fun! As a community, we have grown over the last few years and pride ourselves on our great relationship and friendship between all our members. On a diverse campus, we have a keen interest in Interfaith events.

We have a Chabad Rabbi (Rabbi Zalman, Rabbi Z) who gives a Lunch and Learn session once a week in the Rutherford dining hall, to inspire us and give us food for thought.

Kent Jsoc were also in the final of the Great Jewish Cook Off last year!! So if you want amazing food, you know where to go!

About UJS

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
