Louis Danker is UJS President 25/26. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh, where he was a JSoc keeno and studied Geography in his spare time. He has been JSoc President, led numerous campaigns, chaired UJS National Council and even found time to perfect his chocolate chip cookie recipe, of which he is proud.

Louis doesn’t shut up about the need to recapture Jewish pride on campus. He’s a broken record. His priority this year is to inject energy, joy and defiance into Jewish campus life after a challenging couple of years. Alongside a phenomenal team, he also plans to: get on the front foot by proactively combatting campus antisemitism; strengthen UJS’s leadership development pipeline; and build lasting Jewish journeys on campus for more students than ever before.

When not found at the UJS office until the wee hours, Louis may be spotted at gigs, at Hummus Bar, or at Anfield. He also loves Northern Ireland, where his grandparents live, and will be visiting Belfast JSoc an inordinate amount as a result. Louis’s favourite topics of conversation are his year abroad in Australia, niche Premier League trivia, the optimal ingredients of a fish finger sandwich, and antisemitism, which he strongly opposes.
