Kosher Food & Accommodation
The Students Union shop sells kosher food. There is also a large Jewish community in Manchester about a 20 minute drive from campus, where kosher shops can be found.
There are a number of kosher flats at Oak House in Fallowfield. There is also a new Hillel house.
The Hillel House is a 5 bedroom house in the heart of the student residential area for Manchester university. There is a large kitchen with two sinks and separate areas for milk and meat. There is also a communal area with a spacious atmosphere.

Local Synagogue Information
The G.E. Centre in Fallowfield, the popular student area in south Manchester, is a privately owned student-led Orthodox synagogue. It is used by the J-Soc to host educational and social events, as well as regular Friday night dinners and social events. It also hosts a revision centre during exam times with free internet, silent study zones and regular kosher meals.
There are also many synagogues in and around Manchester, both Orthodox and Reform.
