Approx Jewish Students on campus - 1000+

With one of the largest Jewish Student population in the country, Nottingham J-Soc plays a huge part of Jewish life on campus. With a huge pool of Jews coming from all over the country, Nottingham is the place to be if you want to widen your Jewish social network! With amazing Friday Night dinners, to the iconic Booze for Jews every year, we have something to offer for everyone.

In addition, the events we run exclusively as a Jsoc, we often partner up with Interfaith organisations such as the Council for Christian and Jews who arrange an Interfaith Leadership programme for both Christian and Jews and run amazing collaborative events!

Kosher Food & Accommodation

Please get in touch to find out more about Kosher accommodation.

Following Jan 2019 Student Council, UoNSU are now mandated to stock kosher products in their retail venues. They are currently in the process of arranging this. The JSoc are involved in what products to stock.

There is currently no kosher food provided in catered halls but the JSoc are working with the university to get kosher food available in halls.

About UJS

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
