Samantha Lewkowicz (she/her) is UJS Sabbatical officer for Social Action and Holocaust Education. She graduated from UEA with a degree in Law and took part in a year abroad studying in Rome.
Samantha's favourite thing about UJS is that it encompasses every type of Jewish student, from every denomination and all sides of the political spectrum! After turning her inactive JSoc into 'JSoc of the Year' as 2x President, she can't wait to help other JSocs grow and thrive whilst ensuring that as many Jewish Students as possible can feel connected to their community.
With a breadth of experience taking part and organising social action initiatives, Samantha now loves that she can have the opportunity to run these vital projects on a wider scale through UJS. Her passion for Holocaust education stems from her Zaida's inspiring survival story as one of 'The Boys' and she is determined to recruit both Jewish and non-Jewish students to ensure that the atrocities of the Holocaust will never be forgotten.
In her spare time Samantha enjoys sports including Rounders, Badminton and Cheerleading however, she insists that training is followed by a (very large) meal.
