Adam became a trustee of UJS in 2019 and helps UJS with legal matters, in particular.
Adam is a solicitor, and a partner at Mishcon de Reya, where he heads up the data team. In his spare time, as well as being a UJS trustee, Adam is chair of JCORE (the Jewish Council for Racial Equality), and is also trustee of the Jewish Youth Fund and of Masorti Judaism, where for both he helps with legal issues.
Adam was the elected sabbatical National Secretary of UJS, in 1988/89, and chaired SACSJ, the Student and Academic Campaign for Soviet Jewry in the early 1990s. He edited the UJS magazine, 'Aleph', in 1985, and represented UJS at NUS Conference at various times from 1985 to 1988.
Adam met his wife, Nicola, at a JSoc freshers' event at Manchester University – table tennis at Hillel House. They have three children, and live in East Finchley.
