Bristol Jsoc is one of the fastest developing and active Jewish Society’s in the UK, with over 500 members. Bristol Jsoc is a space to socialize, celebrate Jewish festivals and enjoy Jewish culture. We host a variety of vibrant events including Friday Night Dinners at our own Jsoc house (the Ark and Dove), socials, interfaith events, speakers and much more. We hold both Orthodox (weekly) and Progressive (every other week) Kabbalat Shabbat services before our Friday Night Dinners. A dynamic open space for all sectors of Judaism. Kosher Food & Accommodation

The University of Bristol offers kosher accommodation, if you’d like this option please select it during the accommodation application process. A limited kosher food section can be found at Clifton Down Sainsburys including a small range of frozen kosher meat. There is no kosher butcher or bakery.

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
