As the voice of Jewish students, we believe in campus communities where every student is safe and supported to achieve their ambitions within and beyond their studies, a British society where students play a leading role in protecting and promoting difference and diversity, and a world in which all people and peoples express their religious, cultural, ethnic and national identities without fear of hate or prejudice.

The UJS Campaigns team works with J-Socs and Jewish students nationwide towards progressing this vision and to protect and maintain the welfare and interests of our members. Our campaigns work connects fighting antisemitism with broader student movement work to stamp our prejudice; combines proudly and passionately defending the Jewish people’s right to national self-determination with complex and compassionate education on the ongoing search for peace in the Middle East; and guided by students passions and annually decided policy, recent campaigns have sought to reclaim the conversation about mental health and shatter stereotypes around ethnicity, gender and sexuality.

We seek to develop a wide cohort of student activists, encouraging them to engage with their local students’ union and the national student movement.  We also work with many within the community to ensure that Jewish students are able to have a voice on campus, helping to develop them into outstanding leaders. About UJS

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
