Applications are open for Incubator 2017!
Develop your artistic talents
?? Workshop with leading professional artists
?? Showcase your creativity in an exhibition
?? Work independently or with friends
UJS Incubator is a programme for Jewish student artists, designed to help you explore your relationship with Israel creatively. However you feel about Israel, show us with your camera, pen, paintbrush, textiles, musical instruments... There are no limits and the possibilities are endless! |
Participants receive support (both financial and content development) to produce a piece or pieces of work around a set theme in relation to Jewish identity. The works produced by Incubator participants are displayed in a public exhibition in June, attended by the wider community. Read about last year's exhibition here and see the Jewish News article about it here.
Work by previous participants: Brianna (photography), Liorah ('A Woman of Valour'), Chanel (fashion design), Benjamin (clay modelling, 2 images)
Develop creative skills outside of your course, even if you aren't studying an art-related course. Meet, get inspired by and potentially collaborate with other student artists, learning from each other whilst also getting to know yourselves as you explore your own identities as Jewish artists
Come along to a couple of workshops and meet other student artists as well as professional artists who will help you to develop your project. You'll receive a budget too, and the final piece or pieces you produce will be showcased in an exhibition next summer. |
