Emanuele Boccia - Programmes Manager

Ciao a tutti!

I am often referred to as the 'Italian' of UJS, having grown up in the fashion capital of Milan.

As a foreign student coming to the UK, my J-Soc and UJS became my family, where I found support to develop my interests and peers to share them with.

I have been part of the UJS team since graduating from the University of Manchester, where I studied Politics and Criminology, in 2015. I am currently the Programmes Manager, working closely with the J-Soc Officers to provide Jewish students with as many opportunities to get involved as possible. On that note, if you'd like to be involved in any existing programmes or, why not, you would like to develop a new project on your campus, get in touch! We are here to support you and make it happen.

Finally, to help you get to know me, here’s a list of my interests (in case anyone shares them!): Game of Thrones, Italian Literature, Tottenham Hotspur, Romanticism and Patriotic Movies.

I look forward to meeting you all on UK campuses, and wish you the best years on campus.

A presto!

About UJS

We are the voice of over 8,500 Jewish students, spanning 60 Jewish Societies (J-Socs) on campuses across the UK and Ireland. We are traditional, progressive, cultural and spiritual; we come from the left, centre and right and can be found across religious and political spectrums.

Together we create and deliver powerful campaigns; fighting prejudice, advancing inclusion, and inspiring education and action on the issues that matter to us.
