Paul Koopman became a trustee of UJS in December 2012 and helps to assist the Board in matters relating to spaces and physical operational issues.   

Paul is a Chartered Surveyor and has run his how practice and property company for 30 years. 

Paul was Chair of his JSoc at Reading Uni back in the 1980’s and an active member of UJS and a founding Committee member of Friends of UJS (FUJS) which was aimed at people who had left university. 

Paul is married to Julie who works in the Charity Sector and has two daughters, the first having recently graduated from Birmingham Uni and the second who is a third year at Leeds. Both studied History which is as a result of dragging them around museums and art galleries when younger! In spare time Paul can be seen cycling on Sundays and has participated in numerous charity cycles for various charities in as far flung places as Nicaragua. Paul also enjoys skiing.
