Raphi Leon

Raphi is UJS President 2026/27. Passionate, committed and open-minded, Raphi’s time at the University of Warwick, where he studied Philosophy, was dedicated to building thriving Jewish student communities.

Raphi served on the Warwick JSoc Committee for two years, first as Talks and Events Officer and later as President, where he supported the growth of the JSoc from a relative unknown to a ‘welcoming’, ‘homely’, ‘community’ of 150 members. Raphi also served on National Council (find out more about their work here), and as a keen participant on UJS’ Leadership Fellowship. At the European Union of Jewish Students’ Summer U, Raphi has represented UJS internationally for three consecutive years, as a madrich, UJS delegate and speaker.

A values-driven person, Raphi is committed to providing varied access points for students to meaningfully engage with their Jewish identity whilst at university, contributing to our wider communities through social action and interfaith work, and standing firm against antisemitism to ensure it doesn’t define the Jewish student experience.

When not working to support Jewish students, Raphi can be found doing laps of the swimming pool, pondering the questions of philosophy or enjoying a karaoke night.

Raphi can’t wait to meet as many of you as possible on campus this year – be in touch, he’d love to hear from you!
