This Chanukah We Light For Those Who Can't

UJS are launching a campaign this Chanukah to encourage the Jewish community to Light For Those Who Can’t.  

With the support of UJIA, and every Jewish Youth Movement, UJS are coordinating the distribution of 3,000 boxes of Chanukah candles so that members of the public can light a second chanukiah for individuals who continue to be held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.  

Each box of candles will come with a sticker in honour of an Israeli who is held hostage.  

UJS encourages people to post a photo of their candles each night of Chanukah with the hashtag #LightForThoseWhoCant.

Edward Isaacs, UJS President said:  

“At a time when over 200 innocent civilians are still being held hostage in Gaza, we, as the UK’s Jewish youth, have united to light candles for those who can’t this Chanukah. Join us as we spread the light which is needed now more than ever before.”
