We've Had Enough
In a video released today, UJS is platforming Jewish Students from across the country, who in one voice are saying “We’ve Had Enough”! These Jewish students and the 9,000+ like them have endured horrific increases in antisemitism over the last 8 months on campus.
In an academic year where Jewish students have experienced the largest campus antisemitism crisis in living memory – with a six-fold increase in antisemitic incidents – UJS has provided round-the-clock support to Jewish students on the frontlines of the crisis. Today we say with one voice: We’ve Had Enough.
See this post for just some examples of the antisemitism Jewish students in the UK have faced since the October 7th massacre in Israel.
Today, a video has been released on social media featuring Jewish students across the country. Watch the video here:
In the past week over 3,000 Jewish students past and present have signed an open letter that will go to every Vice-Chancellor, students' union leader, and wider university leadership. This letter can be found (and signed) at www.ujs.org.uk/enough. This letter is still open for current and former Jewish students to add their name to.
UJS President, Edward Isaacs said:
“Jewish students have endured a year like no other, facing the worst campus antisemitism crisis in a generation. After 8 months, Jewish students have had enough. It is imperative that university leaders understand, condemn, and act against antisemitism. Now.”
