York is a university has a beautiful campus which is a short walk from the city centre, the city is full of Jewish history as well as restaurants and quaint independent establishments. The University has a great community feel from the campus base and it’s a perfect match for a positive student experience.
The Jewish Society are here to enhance that student experience with our own small and welcoming community, hosting regular vegetarian Shabbat dinners and the occasionally lunch and learn.

Kosher Food & Accommodation
There are Kosher ranges available at several mainstream supermarkets. Marks and Spencer and Waitrose also sell challah. The nearest specifically Kosher shops and restaurants can be found in Leeds.
