Yesterday we launched our first alumni event of the year, Grads Booze and Schmooze!
UJS took over the Old White Lion pub in East Finchley and decked the place out with grad themed ornaments. The event was a lively, boozy mingle where Jewish grads were able to come together and socialise. Old friends and new enjoyed a free drink on UJS and reminisced about their uni days.
With the disruption caused by the pandemic, many graduates (including a few of our sabs) didn’t get a chance to don the iconic grad cap and gown. Luckily, UJS provided some and the grads finally got the opportunity to get a picture for their parents’ mantlepiece.
Finally got that graduation thanks to @UJS_UK pic.twitter.com/9B6AinqyyC

Your graduation doesn’t count until you’re wearing the kit!
Former UJS president James Harris was lucky enough to have graduated in person but he still took the opportunity to wear the hat once again.
We are so proud to be a part of young Jewish people’s lives, even when they aren’t students anymore! More alumni events will be announced shortly so keep your eyes peeled!
