Speakers for your JSoc!

UJS are proud to provide and facilitate speakers for lunch and learns, FNDs and so much more! Below are just some of the organisations who are enthusiastic about meeting you and your Jsoc.

UJS sabbatical officers and shlichot would love to speak/shmooze on your campus. We cover a huge range of topics, and we can work with your Jsoc to tailor our session to you. Please be in touch if you would like any of our team to come to your campus.

 

 

General:

Jewish Camps USA - JCUSA sends counselors and specialists to work at the best Jewish overnight camps in America.

Kahal - Kahal connects students with the local Jewish community while studying abroad.

March of the Living - MOTL coordinates an educational and unforgettable trip to Poland over Yom Hashoah (16-20th April 2023).

Jnetics - Jnetics on Campus provides University Screening Week every November, dedicated to testing students based in the UK with at least ONE Jewish grandparent.

 

 

Jewish engagement:

Tribe - Tribe aims to provide a Jewish atmosphere for all students on campus. Tribe offers a range of Tribe events including Friday night dinners, Shabbat onegs, lunch and learn sessions and graduation parties.

University Jewish Chaplaincy - UJC couples are based around the country, ready to travel to local universities and support Jewish students.

Aish - Aish aims to make the beauty of Judaism accessible to every Jewish student.

JLE - JLE on campus provides a variety of cutting edge and relevant programmes and social opportunities for the 21st century Jewish student and young adult.

Marom - Marom, the Masorti organisation for students, wants to connect young adults with meaningful Jewish life on their own terms while developing the leaders of the future.

Progressive Jewish Students - PJS support students in building a vibrant Progressive Jewish life on their university campus, including egalitarian initiatives in order to empower everyone to engage with their Judaism.

Youth movements - National Jewish youth movements offer unparalleled opportunities to meet other young Jewish people and to have fun whilst exploring personal connections to both Judaism and Israel. Movement workers are happy to come to campus to deliver informal sessions.

 

Israel engagement:

Stand With Us - StandWithUs UK is a British educational charity educating about Israel and countering misinformation that can lead to Antisemitism.

Yachad - Yachad works to mobilise British Jews in support of a political resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Masa - Masa assists in shaping a promising future for the young Jewish individual and the global Jewish community, through time spent in Israel. 

Shlichot - UJS' shlichot from Israel, Noa, Adi and Efrat want to come to campus and engage with students, and share their experiences of growing up in Israel.

 

Social action and interfaith:

Mitzvah Day - Mitzvah Day is the UK’s largest faith-led day of social action. Mitzvah day can bring a range of activities to campus to help your Jsoc make a real difference.

KisharonKisharon offers workshops to talk about different disabilities, with the aim to break down barriers between those with disabilities and those in mainstream, thereby creating a culture of inclusion.

CCJ - Session on how to run a good interfaith event on campus! 

 

Liberation and Mental Health:

Jami - Jami, the mental health charity for the Jewish community, offer sessions for Jsocs discussing a range of topics. Click here to see the session booklet.

Keshet - KeshetUK's mission is to ensure that Jewish LGBT+ people and their families are included throughout Jewish life in the UK.
