The safety of Jewish students at university is paramount to the work that UJS does. UJS works closely with the Community Security Trust to ensure the safety of Jewish students on campus.
We work alongside campus security, the police, universities and students’ unions to combat antisemitism, support students and ensure action is taken when incidents occur.

UJS also works proactively to combat antisemitism in the student community and society. In recent years, UJS has seen
National Action no platformed by the National Union of Students and subsequently proscribed as a terrorist organisation 
following consistent lobbying. We have also worked to secure support from NUS, Students Unions, 
Universities UK, Government, Labour Clubs across the country for the implementation of the IHRA definition in universities and Students Union

A large part of our work in the area of combatting antisemitism focuses on training. At UJS we train the National Union of Students’
NEC, students’ unions across the country and university staff in combatting antisemitism. We also partner with the Jewish Labour Movement and Labour Students to deliver antisemitism training to university Labour Clubs across the country.

Together with one of the UK’s top lawyers, Anthony Julius, UJS and CST have developed A Student’s Guide to Antisemitism on Campus, a handbook to aid students in how to tackle and report antisemitism in all of its forms.
