The UJS Leadership Fellowship is a competitive, one-year leadership programme designed to identify, challenge, and upskill Jewish student leaders.

Together, these experiences will enable you to tackle difficult conversations whilst deepening your understanding of diverse Jewish communal life.

Why Apply?

Lead Now, Not Later:

This fellowship amplifies your existing leadership experiences and harnesses your potential. Through engagement in productive discomfort, you’ll be challenged to explore complexity, question assumptions, and grow by working alongside your cohort. This will also be an opportunity to enhance your CV by developing leadership, advocacy, and teamwork skills.

Political and Communal Engagement:

Join a unique cohort of Jewish student leaders who will become collaborators, allies, and friends. Alongside them, this fellowship will allow you to gain first-hand exposure to leadership in action. Through relationship building with senior leaders in politics, civil society, and the Jewish community, you will learn how institutions work, how to navigate them, and how to advocate for the issues that matter most.

2 Overseas Trips:

As a fellow, you will embark on two immersive international trips. These are not just opportunities to connect with Jewish student leaders in a new setting, but to engage with political institutions, civil society organisations, and diverse communities. On these trips you will:
• Explore the realities of Jewish communal life in different contexts.
• Meet policymakers, diplomats, and activists shaping global conversations.
• Engage in difficult and essential dialogues on peace, conflict, and identity.

The Leadership Fellowship will broaden your perspective, sharpen your leadership skills, and inspire you to think about your role in the global Jewish community and wider society.
