Tamzin Lester

Tamzin (she/her) is the UJS National Events, Interfaith, and UJSix Sabbatical Officer for 2025/26. She recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Religion, where she focused her dissertation on Jewish feminism, exploring how the Purim story can serve as a tool for modern diasporic Jews, particularly women.

During her time at university, Tamzin ran the first JSOC women’s football team, integrating it into campus leagues and wider tournaments (Up the Oaks!) Tamzin received the UJS Sports Person of the Year award for 2024/25. In her spare time she hopes to continue playing football and netball, as well as finding the time for her afternoon naps :)

She’s looking forward to meeting and working with you all in the year ahead!!
