Holocaust Survivors To Speak On Campuses Across UK

Holocaust Survivors To Speak On Campuses Across UK to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2025, and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Holocaust survivors will be speaking on campuses across the UK this January and February to share their testimony with university students as we mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Thanks to the support of the Holocaust Educational Trust, and Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, UJS is proudly able to host multiple survivors and second-generation speakers at JSocs across the country.

UJS would also like to extend a huge thank you to survivors John Dobai, Ivan Shaw BEM, Uri Winterstein BEM, Mindu Hornick MBE, Mala Tribich MBE, Annick Lever BEM, and John Hajdu MBE, for enabling these talks to take place, and sharing their stories with university students.

To register, any university student can visit the following links to events on your local campus:

For all details please reach out to Emma.

Jewish Societies and Students' Unions are also creating a range of other events to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on campus. Supportive resource guides can be found here for JSocs and here for SUs. UJS has also created a Holocaust Memorial Day Exhibition for SUs to display throughout January and February and this can be downloaded here

JSocs can also download a memorial booklet to hold a ceremony on campus by clicking here
