Emma Sherrard

Emma Sherrard is the Campaigns and Holocaust Education Sabbatical Officer 2024/25. With a degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Emma brings a unique blend of creativity and pedagogical expertise to her role. Emma was jsoc president at Central for two years, creating a vibrant and diverse Jewish presence on a small campus.

Passionate about making a difference, she is excited to lead impactful campaigns and make sure that universities remain a safe place for Jewish students. Emma is dedicated to tackling antisemitism, and widening the landscape that UJS's antisemitism awareness training reaches. Emma has extensive experience in Holocaust Education, from working with Holocaust survivors, leading trips to Poland and creating/leading Holocaust education seminars, she hopes to make sure every student has a chance to engage in Holocaust Education this year, on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Outside of her professional life, Emma enjoys diving into a good book, spending time with her beloved dog named Peanut, going to the theatre and listening to Taylor Swift. Emma's enthusiasm and dedication make her a dynamic addition to the UJS team.
